The newly refurbished dining concept, which recently expanded to a 60-seat restaurant, focuses on tapas dining and Chef Miguel's ever-evolving gastronomic vision that knows no borders.
Nothing says summer like tapas and with Rioja's new à la carte menu Chef Miguel Angel Mayor has crafted and prepared Summer dishes full of fresh, vibrant, seasonal flavours. Chef Miguel, a former chef at the world-famous El Bulli, received his first Michelin star in 2017 at Sucede in Valencia, with the goal of reviving history through fusion and haute cuisine. Rioja is his first UK appearance in his culinary career, and the new Summer menu brings a taste of Catalan to Glasgow's west end.
The new Catalan-inspired menu with prices from £6.50 includes dishes that are flavourful and perfect for warm days and balmy evenings, with the Summer edition including:
• Beer Battered King Prawns with Manchego Aioli
• Andalusian Lamb Skewers
• Confit Boneless Chicken Wings in Pork Butter
• North Coast Scottish Mackerel Tempura
• Loch Ceren Mussels With Vermouth
• BBQ Pork Ribs With Mojo Picón Sauce
• Breaded Aged Beef Shin with Brava Sauce and Aioli
• Chilled Crab and Potato Salad
• Roast Leeks with Salmorejo
In addition to the new summer menu, Rioja Finnieston's new lunch menu offers a tasty lunchtime treat with an appetiser and two tapas dishes from the new Summer menu for just £16 per person. Ideal for casual business lunches or those looking to sample the best tapas Glasgow has to offer.
Chef Miguel Angel Mayor said: “Our new Summer menu offers the perfect taste of Catalan, full of rich flavours and bursting with sunshine, the new menu transports your tastebuds to Spain." Mix and match your favourite dishes to fully experience the taste of Catalan in a relaxed dining experience ideal for lunch or dinner. With over 20 dishes to choose from, our new menu has something for everyone.”
Rioja Finnieston is located at 1116 Argyle St, Finnieston, Glasgow G3 8TD.
