Treading the boards at the Bath Street venue on Thursday 9 February, the former Celtic and Liverpool player will discuss the trial and tribulations of his rollercoaster career and audience members will have the chance to meet Kenny in person and have a photo taken with him.
Three-time player of the year Kenny Dalglish said: “I’m really looking forward to returning to Glasgow and appearing at The King’s to talk about my career in football - it’ll be a great night.”

Kenny’s love for Liverpool began in August 1966, when as, a 15-year-old Glaswegian travelled south of the border for a trial at Anfield in front of the legendary Bill Shankly. Unsuccessful in the football trial, this didn’t put him off. 11 Years and 167 goals later, he was finally recruited by the Reds to replace club legend Kevin Keegan.
Throughout his career, Dalglish racked up a number of records and trophies across Celtic, Liverpool and Scotland. These include 338 appearances and 173 goals over nine years for Celtic alongside 9 trophies and in the club’s top 10 all-time goal scorers.
With Liverpool, he held the highest price tag in British transfer fees and won 15 trophies including 3 European World Cups. For the Reds, he scored 172 goals across 515 appearances and was the three -time player of the year as well as the Silver d’or winner in 1983.
For Scotland, he held the record number of caps for Scotland, played in three World Cups and was one of the national team’s top goal-scorers. He was of the inaugural inductees into the Scottish football hall of fame in 2004 and was voted Scotland’s greatest-ever player ON an SFA fans poll through the SFA.
