Miller Homes keeps kids visible this October with Home Safe

As the nights get darker, leading homebuilder, Miller Homes, is keeping children across Scotland visible on their walk to & from school by donating high-vis vests as part of its Home Safe initiative.

Families across Scotland are now invited along to collect high-vis vests from their nearest development.

The initiative marks Walk to School Month this October, which challenges children to travel sustainably, and Miller Homes is brightening up pavements by making kids visible to drivers when walking, scooting, or cycling to and from school.

David McGrath, Divisional Managing Director for Miller Homes Scotland, believes that Home Safe will continue to help primary children of all ages get to and from school safely as the seasons change.

He explained: “Home Safe is now marking its third year in Scotland, putting road visibility at the forefront of our community initiative as the nights get darker. It’s been great to see the impact we’ve made to local communities near our developments so far, and we hope that by donating these vibrant vests, children will be safer on their school commute.”

High-vis vests are suitable for all primary school children and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Families can head along to Miller Homes’ Sales Centres to collect a vest, open from Thursday to Monday, 10:30am-5:30pm.
