New for 2023 at the IRN BRU Carnival

It's Carnival time and all the fun of the fair is back at this year's annual IRN-BRU Carnival at the SEC!

The event officially opened its doors on Friday 22nd and fun seekers have already been flocking to the venue to enjoy some festive excitement over the holidays. If you’re planning a trip then don’t miss these exciting new rides to help super-charge your day out. Here’s a run down of what’s new for 2023/2024.

If thrill seeking is your thing then there are three new must-visits at the Carnival which will have you screaming for more.

Air Raid is making its first appearance at the Carnival this year. If intense spinning at high speed is your thing then this is definitely the ride for you.

Super Trooper is equally as thrilling. This high octane ride takes you high into the air spinning 360 degrees at high speed.

Extreme Ice Blast is also making its debut at the IRN-BRU Carnival this year. Stationed outside the venue, this pendulum style ride swings from one side to the other adding in plenty of high speed spins at the same time. Not for the faint hearted.

There are plenty of new rides for families at this year’s event. The Samba Balloons are a brightly coloured attraction featuring colourful spinning tubs and flashing lights giving kids of all ages a gentle thrill.

As well as a brand new Helter Skelter, there’s also an exciting new Bavarian Fun House, which will keep the kids entertained as they enjoy the quirks and adventures of this purpose built ride.

The Ice Palace 3D show is also brand new for this year. Pop on a set of 3D glasses and be transported to a winter wonderland of fun.

Tickets are available now for The IRN-BRU Carnival which runs to Sunday 14 January 2024.

Standard entry tickets are available from £19.50 with discounts available for groups, concessions and Young Scot card holders, and kids under three go free.
