If you’re already dreading hearing the kids saying “I’m bored” during the holidays, then look no further than Platform in Glasgow. With plenty of activities to make the kids’ holidays a memorable one, schools definitely out at Platform this summer.
Kicking things off at the start of the holidays on Thursday, 30th June is the magical Summer Cinema Club with screenings of Disney favourites including Frozen, Trolls and Toy Story. Priced at £10 per child, the sessions also include special character visits from their favourite films including Elsa, Jessie, and Woody, as well as popcorn servings for every child, and an interactive kids’ disco hosted by the brilliant Be Bop Bairns.
Also scheduled as part of fun are karaoke parties, UV glow discos with Trolls, summer snowball fights, musical bingo, and of course, the affair wouldn’t be complete without some wacky face painting. Consider all boxes ticked!
As well as a magical movie experience, the kids won’t go home hungry, thanks to the very popular street food menu on offer. Your little ones can tuck into delicious dishes including pizza, mac and cheese, classic penne pomodoro, fried chicken, and not to mention, the tuck shop to cater to any sweet-toothed cinema club goers, as well as mum and dad.
And on the final Sunday of each month, gather your loved ones of all ages to enjoy a family fun day full of flavour, guided by Platform’s friendly pizza chef. This new monthly pizza-making experience is the perfect afternoon out for your budding little chefs.
Catering for even the fussiest of eaters, kids can choose all of their toppings to ensure their pizza is one they’re proud of. Pizzas on offer include classic margherita, fiery pepperoni, savoury salsiccia, and earthy funghi; there’s something for everyone!
The pizza making is just the start of the fun, as under Glasgow’s famous Victorian arches, your minis will also be treated to a face painting extravaganza and a delicious ice cream to satisfy those summer cravings, all complimentary within the £10 ticket price. It’s sure to be a holiday highlight this summer.
Jules McGuire, Venue Manager at Platform said: “At Platform, we pride ourselves on offering elevated days out for families without stretching the budget. We want people to come along and have a day with their family making not just pizza, but memories.”
“Platform is a place many know and love, and we wanted to create a series of fun family events to help you make the most of your summer with the kids. There’s been a demand for family events, requested by our customers and our Summer Cinema Club and kids pizza-making events are bound to be extremely popular, so please book early to avoid disappointment.”
