With successful Loveable Rogues now operating on both the West and East sides of the city, the new Strathbungo location offers a flexible, relaxed, cosy and accessible neighbourhood restaurant where everybody is welcome.
The Loveable Rogue Southside is a local business owned by Glaswegian couple Joe and Amalia Lazzerini whose philosophy is based on food, friends and family. The community and food-centred restaurateurs have combined their passions to create a homely atmosphere with a seasonal a la carte menu on Nithsdale Road in Glasgow.
Like all good neighbourhood hangouts, the décor at The Loveable Rogue Southside boasts homely and earthy tones, with a tasteful mix of exposed brick and mosaic ceiling tiles. The 40 cover gastropub has charm and character and offers quirky interiors with a rustic distressed solid wood floor, hanging picture frames to break up the walls and a mix of repurposed and new seating to set the tone alongside warm rope lighting. An enclosed outdoor heated seating area for up to 20 guests also offers the full menu for food and drinks outside all year round. The Loveable Rogue Southside is also dog friendly and caters for all the family.
Each flavoursome dish offers guests a unique twist on family favourites and traditional recipes including Ham Hough, Cote de Bouef, Pan Roasted Scallops, Rogues Fish and Chips, Pan Fried Gnocchi and Monkfish Cheek Scampi. The Sunday Roast menu is also worth drooling over, with a choice of two or three courses, which serves everything from classic Roast Beef and Yorkshire Puddings to Sunday roast dinners with a twist. Their Sunday feast will follow in the footsteps of its West End and East End location, surely set to be the highlight of its weekend menu - open Tuesday to Saturday from 12pm - late for a la carte dining and Sundays 12pm - 9pm for all day Sunday Roast.
Co-owner Amalia Lazzerini said: “With the opening of our third Glasgow location today, The Loveable Rogue continues to grow our restaurant brand in our home city. By combining home-comfort dishes with warm, welcoming service, our new Southside restaurant in the city creates an energetic yet relaxing dining experience for the Strathbungo neighbourhood and Southside community.”
