Scottish Live Music Awards unveils inaugural Shortlist

The Scottish Live Music Awards (SLMA) has announced its first-ever shortlist, following a phenomenal response from the public.

After receiving over 16,000 nominations and 84,000 public votes, the SLMA has narrowed down thousands of artists, bands, venues, festivals, and industry contributors into shortlists across 14 categories.

Now, a panel of 40 judges from across Scotland’s music industry will select the winner and runner-up in each category. The winners will be revealed during a prestigious awards night at Glasgow’s Classic Grand Ballroom on Wednesday, 11th December.

Ross Coutts, from Xfire.Live, the company behind the awards, shared his excitement: “It’s fantastic to see such a strong shortlist emerge from across Scotland’s vibrant live music scene. We’re thrilled to be able to celebrate – and crown the 2024 winners at the awards ceremony next month.”

More details about the awards night will be released soon, with organisers promising a memorable celebration of Scotland’s live music talent.
