Pioneering accessible technology conference returns to Glasgow in 2025
RNIB Scotland's Inclusive Design for Sustainability (IDS) Conference is set to return to Glasgow Science Centre on 17 and 18 March 2025.

The conference will bring together global tech giants and accessibility advocates to explore the future of inclusive design.
The event, which is being sponsored by Google, will also feature other leading technology companies such as Microsoft and Starship, and they will join a lineup of renowned keynote speakers and expert panels to showcase how cutting-edge technologies can create more inclusive public spaces, transform travel experiences, and redefine AI and robotics—all through the lens of accessibility for blind and partially sighted individuals.
UN Ambassador Dr. Aubrey Webson, will headline the event which is centred on a theme of accessible technology. The conference will also feature discussions on innovation within the sustainable development sector, highlighting solutions to reduce inequalities worldwide.
RNIB Scotland is running the conference as part of a focus on ensuring everyone with sight loss has access to the technology to live the life they want to lead.
