Now firmly established as a must-attend date on Scotland’s spirits calendar, the festival will once again take place at the iconic SWG3 venue in Glasgow’s West End on Saturday 6th September, delivering another showcase of Scotland’s dynamic and fast-growing rum scene.
From traditional Caribbean-inspired distilling methods to bold, experimental expressions, this year’s festival promises a deep dive into the creativity and craftsmanship driving Scotland’s rum renaissance. Ticketholers will enjoy the opportunity to sample and discover an exceptional range of premium rums from across the country, while connecting directly with the passionate makers who are shaping the category.
The day is split into two sessions - afternoon and evening, with 600 rum lovers expected throughout. This year’s lineup features more exhibiting producers, including The Glasgow Distillery, Wester, Titan Spirits, The GlenAllachie Distillery, East Neuk Spirit Company, J. Gow Distillery, Matugga Distillers, North Point Distillery, The Islay Rum Company and Rum Bothy, alongside exciting newcomers like Rum Cay Rum, bringing fresh flavour and energy to the Scottish rum landscape.
Festivalgoers can also look forward to:
• A pop-up rum bar run by Glasgow’s award-winning Daddy Marmalades team, serving an exclusive festival cocktail menu
• Expert talks led by rum educator Peter Holland of The Floating Rum Shack.
• Interactive cocktail-making workshops to unleash your inner mixologist
• Delicious food stalls featuring street food favourites
• A live DJ sound system bringing good vibes all day long
“It’s an absolute joy to bring The Scottish Rum Festival into its fifth year and to witness the growing momentum behind Scotland’s rum scene,” said Jasmine Wheelhouse, Scottish Rum Festival organiser. “What began as an online celebration during the pandemic in 2020 has evolved into a vibrant community and a national movement. In 2025, we’re proud to shine an even brighter spotlight on the innovation, diversity and camaraderie that define Scottish rum. Expect more producers, bold new expressions, and of course – world-class rum.”
With early bird tickets already sold out and demand at an all-time high, now’s the time to secure your spot at one of Scotland’s most spirited cultural celebrations.
