Situated on its Gallic-style terrace in Princes Square, Maison by Glaschu will be serving up scoops of handmade ice cream with inventive flavours from 14th to 21st June, between 12–4pm. As a treat for shoppers and Glasgow sunseekers, the first 20 cones each day will be free. Flavours include Old fashioned, Butter croissant, Raspberry ripple, Key lime pie and Chocolate. The cones are priced at £3.50 for one scoop, £4 for two and £5 for a three-scoop tub. Diners can enjoy the ice cream as a croissant sandwich for £6.50.
Paying homage to its namesake, Maison by Glaschu, will mark Bastille Day with an ode to one of France’s most beloved dishes: steak frites. From 14th to 18th July, guests can enjoy unlimited servings of entrecôte steak, fries, and choice of sauce served daily between 12–8pm for just £25 per person. While drinks aren’t included, a selection of French wine, cocktails and premium side upgrades will be available all week. Bookings are highly recommended, as this inaugural celebration of French flair is set to be très populaire.
There will also be a series of Saturday afternoon summer sessions in the bar to set the atmosphere. Kicking things off on Saturday 14th June, Hannah Cochrane will perform from 2:30–4:30pm, with more live acts to follow on Saturday 21st June, including a special Sunday set on 22nd June, 2–4pm. The live music will continue for every Saturday in July, bringing laid-back beats and acoustic sets to accompany cocktails and small plates.
Maison by Glaschu boasts a 120 cover bar area, where guests can enjoy drinks and snacks, seven days a week. Highlights include: Cumbrae oysters, salt cod croquettes, ratatouille arancini paired with spiced strawberry margarita, the Lillet spritz, Vinho Verde or a perfectly chilled glass of Veuve Clicquot. A refined yet relaxed 85-cover restaurant area towards the back of the space has views out east of the city, with its own 45 cover terrace, and serves lunch and dinner daily. The menus are heavily inspired by classical French and Mediterranean inspired cuisine, with local Scottish produce at its core, that evolves with the seasons. They feature its famous French onion soup, Ox cheek bourguignon and 4oz rosemary and garlic roasted lamb rump.
Maison by Glaschu is owned by Glasgow-based The Superlative Collection - Scotland’s fastest growing independent hospitality group.
