Nintendo themed pottery night comes to Glasgow arcade

Level up your midweek plans: The Craft Pottery is hosting a Nintendo-themed pottery night at Glasgow arcade bar, Game Over on Wednesday 23 July from 7–9pm.

Combining hands-on creativity with pixel-packed nostalgia, the one-off event invites guests to paint their own pottery using exclusive Nintendo stencils while enjoying retro games like Pac-Man, Guitar Hero and Pinball.

The pop-up will take place inside Game Over’s neon-lit arcade space on Drury Street, with food available before the event from their sister bar next door at Drury Street Bar & Kitchen.

Tickets start at £19 and include your choice of basic pottery piece, studio fee, and access to all materials and themed designs. Premium pottery options will also be available on the night for those keen to craft something a bit more epic.

Beth Hoad, Studio Director at The Craft Pottery, said: “This is one for anyone who grew up gaming, or just loves a good crossover event.

“Painting pottery in an arcade? It’s the kind of mash-up we didn’t know we needed – but now can’t wait for. With all the buzz of retro games in the background, it's set to be a super fun and nostalgic night.”

Game Over has become a local favourite for its lineup of classic machines, chilled-out vibe, and nostalgic soundtrack, making it the perfect spot for a paint-and-play night that’s creative, social and just a bit chaotic in the best way.

Finished pottery will be glazed, kiln-fired, and ready to collect from The Craft Pottery’s Washington Street studio within a week.
