VEGA at YOTEL Glasgow has revamped its layout, maximising space within the bar area, rolling-out contemporary furniture and giving the interior design a glow-up, as well as launching the all new ‘U-Bar’ for one of Glasgow’s most unique nights out.
The 13-seater U-shaped bar offers four themed food and drink experiences, curated by VEGA’s talented team of bartenders. Guests can book the entire bar for their friends, enjoying a bespoke package built around their chosen theme.
Every element of the experience is designed for guests from the creation of the drinks to food pairing, enjoyed by bar-goers on an exclusive basis.
The first U-Bar packages include:
• Sky High Classics- elevated takes on cocktail favourites
• Bootleggers- an illicit prohibition-era experience
• VEGA Disco- inspired by the venue’s famed Disco Brunch with unique takes on 70s and 80s style classic cocktails.
• U- where bartenders reimagine two drinks guests love and two they loathe, with surprising results.
For those seeking a taste of innovation without a private booking, every Friday mixology fans can join VEGA’s U-Bar Takeovers, where a different bartender curates an exclusive four-cocktail menu inspired by their personal journey, making every visit a one of a kind adventure.
After a sleek summer refurbishment, VEGA has been transformed into a bold, vibrant destination that oozes with energy day and night. The striking new interior, with vivid colours, sleek finishes, and dynamic lighting creates an unforgettable atmosphere, perfectly framed by panoramic skyline views. Every detail is tailored to immerse guests in a stylish yet welcoming space that’s electric by day and intimate by night.
As part of its glow up, VEGA has also launched a fresh new food menu packed with flavour. Guests can tuck into playful small plates like Corn Ribs and Beetroot Carpaccio, while mains include the indulgent Surf & Turf, the VEGA Special Fish Supper as a nod to Glasgow, and much loved fan favourites such as the VEGA Katsu Curry.
Sharing platters now come with a wine deal, making them perfect for group get-togethers, and desserts bring the wow factor with treats like the Banana Katsu. With plenty of vegan options and dishes designed for sharing, the menu is made for everything from casual catch ups to big nights out.
VEGA offers more than just stunning views. It’s a hub for all day dining, Scotland’s only neon lit four lane bowling alley, and a hotspot for immersive entertainment. From buzzing coworking sessions and disco fueled brunches to exclusive private events, VEGA is redefining nightlife and social experiences in Glasgow, making it the city’s must visit venue for unforgettable moments.
To celebrate VEGA’s makeover, guests heading to the restaurant and bar on Saturday 16 August will receive their own complimentary Glow Up when they order any main dish.
A selection of exclusive in-bar beauty and grooming pop-ups will offer a selection of high-end treatments, from scent consultations and beard trims to express makeovers and professional photo moments all set against the backdrop of Glasgow’s skyline.
VEGA is collaborating with top local talent and suppliers including Dapper Wolf Barber Club and Glam by Esse, so guests can enjoy their own transformation to celebrate the bar’s overhaul.
Neil Taylor, General Manager at YOTEL Glasgow, said: “This refurbishment has been a game changer for VEGA and a huge investment that’s completely transformed the space into something bold, vibrant, and full of energy.
“We’ve thought about every single detail to create a stunning glow-up that mixes striking design, mood lighting, and spectacular skyline views to give guests an experience that’s electric and welcoming all at once.
“We’re super excited to launch the U-Bar, Glasgow’s freshest and most exciting new bar concept, where people can really personalise their night and have a blast. We can’t wait to share this next chapter with our visitors and help them glow up their nights out like never before!”
