Following three successful summers, Silverburn has turned fun in the sun into lasting impact, raising an outstanding £139,388 for Glasgow Children's Hospital through its annual Flamingo Beach event.

This year alone, Flamingo Beach raised an impressive £50,000, surpassing last year’s total of £46,000, highlighting the continued generosity of Silverburn’s local community.

During its nine-week long run, the beach provided a welcome break for busy parents and a place for children to enjoy the sand, regardless of the Scottish weather.

As well as enjoying the beach, Silverburn guests were able to purchase merchandise from Glasgow Children’s Hospital’s pop-up stand, showing support for the much-loved charity.

Flamingo Beach launched in 2023 and has proved to be a huge hit with families, welcoming more than 64,000 visitors over the past three years.

Clare Livingston, Marketing and Placemaking Manager of Silverburn, said: "It has been a pleasure to see the continued success of Flamingo Beach as we round off our third summer.

“Raising £139,388 in just three years for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity is something we are extremely proud of. Every year, we are blown away by the enthusiasm and support from our guests. The fantastic total is a testament to our community, and we are very grateful to everyone who kindly donated.”
