Set within the romance of a restored 17th-century castle on the outskirts of Glasgow, Crossbasket Castle is one of the country’s most popular luxury wedding destinations.
The new menu has been curated by longstanding partner of the estate Chef Roux, alongside executive chef Kevin Barron, to elevate the wedding experience even further. The masterful menu blends Scotland’s finest seasonal produce with the signature refinement of the Roux culinary dynasty, providing couples and their guests with an unrivalled wedding feast experience.
Featured dishes on the new menu include Pressed Ayrshire Ham Hock with cox’s apple gel, sweet pickled heritage carrots and rye cracker; Overnight Cooked Scotch Beef Rump with onion jam and lightly smoked mash potato; and Lemon Meringue Pie with layers of lemon cake, curd, mousse, and crisp meringue. While the canapé selection adds Rare Roast Beef Cracker, with arran mustard, and baby watercress; Wild Mushroom Arancini, with truffled rapeseed mayonnaise; and Whipped Goats Cheese Tart, with tomato and mint salsa.
Vegetarian, vegan, and children’s menus have also been thoughtfully curated to ensure every guest enjoys a world-class dining experience.
In addition to the exquisite food and drink offering, Crossbasket Castle can provide venue exclusive-use packages that include nine luxurious period bedrooms in the Castle, the use of the James Little Hall for the ceremony, and private access to the manicured gardens and public rooms.
Additional luxury accommodation is available in the adjoining hotel and lodges, with preferential rates for wedding guests. Crossbasket Castle added 40-upscale bedrooms to its estate in March 2025 with the launch of a new art-deco inspired hotel which sits opposite the historic castle. Within the new hotel is an entertainment-led restaurant, Trocadero’s where world-class dining and cocktails are served to the beat of live music. Its addition allows guests to extend their celebrations with an exciting pre-wedding dinner for friends and family.
Michel Roux, Michelin-starred chef, said: “A wedding is one of the most beautiful celebrations of your life, and it is only fitting that couples have the finest dishes to mark the moment with.
“At Crossbasket Castle, I wanted the wedding menu to be crafted with the precision and elegance worthy of such a special day. Each course is a chapter, celebrating the beauty of Scotland’s produce and the joy of sharing it with those you love most.”
Kevin Barron, Executive Chef at Crossbasket Castle, said: “The food served at a wedding is one of the key elements of the day that guests will go on to talk about for years to come. Having dishes that impress guests with each and every mouthful is incredibly important to us and through our new menu, where the very best local ingredients take centre stage, we look forward to making more memorable moments at Crossbasket Castle.”
Laura McAulay, Events Sales Manager at Crossbasket Castle, said: “Our aim was to create an unforgettable wedding celebration that blends the beauty of our historic venue with world-class food and impeccable service.
“Our cherished partnership with Michel Roux brings an incredible calibre of experience to our couples and their guests, and sets us apart in the wedding industry.”
