About Physio Effect
Physio Effect was formed in early 2012 by friends and colleagues Jonny Kilpatrick and Danny Wray. Jonny & Danny have each worked for more than 9 years in sports and musculoskeletal Physiotherapy including several years honing and developing their skills working in private practices in New Zealand and Australia. Their aim is to bring the same quality and standard of care as enjoyed by those down under to the athletes and workers of the UK.
Did you know we're not just Physiotherapists? We offer Pilates (Clinical, Pre-and Post-Natal and regular pilates), Sports Massage and Mobility too!
So, come along and we can help you prevent injury as well as treat it!
Cry Baby Pilates
This post-natal mother and baby class is a core-strengthening class focusing on the working relationships between the abdominals, back, diaphragm and pelvic floor muscles. The class can help prevent back pain from lifting your child, improve continence, re-train pelvic floor and treat abdominal separation post-birth.
Classes are at 1.30pm on a Tuesday here at our Borron Street Clinic. Places on the block book up quickly so please email email@example.com to reserve your space!
For any new mothers starting, our Chartered Physiotherapist and Clinical Pilates Instructor Mariam will do an initial one-on-one assessment beforehand - Including this initial assessment, the block is £80, or £50 for any returning mums. (Individual class rates are £10 per class otherwise, with £30 for the initial assessment)
Mothers must have had their all-clear from their doctor/midwife to exercise and 6-weeks post partum or 8-weeks if by C-section. Their babies must be up to crawling age only (otherwise they wriggle around and the mums don't get to do much Pilates!)
Mobility is about moving within your range of motion comfortably, loosening sticky muscle tissue to relieve long and short term pain, improve athletic performance and technique, and help to correct postural abnormalities.
Come along and see what the difference in mobility can make to your training!
Spaces are limited so please email firstname.lastname@example.org - places will be allocated on a first come-first served basis.
We have a Pilates Class from 19:00 on a Monday evening,
Tuesdays we have 13:30 - Cry Baby Pilates followed by Clinical Pilates classes at 18:00 and 19:00
Wednesdays is Mobility Class night from 19:00 - 20:00 and Thursday mornings thwere are 2 Clinical Pilates classes at 10:30 and 11:30 and on Saturday is a further Clinical Pilates Class at 10:00
