Are you ready to try your hand at stretch fabrics. Want to make yourself or your kids clothes without having to battle with the dreaded stretch stitch on your sewing machine? Perhaps you want to make dance costumes out of lycra to save yourself a fortune? Perhaps you are starting a business and want your products to be finished professionally. Well this class is for you!
During this class, you will learn how to thread our fabulous Elna 664 overlockers or you can bring your own overlocker and learn how to use that. We'll teach you how to thread your machine from scratch, how to change the threads without unthreading and then we'll move on too using the machine to make something from a stretchy fabric. We'll then move onto making either a slouchy tee or a stretch pattern of your choice. You may not get you tee or pattern finished but you'll have all the knowledge to finish it at home or at one of our Sewcials if you don't have an overlocker at home.
*Please note that it is not possible to go over more complex stitches in this class as we allow people to bring their own machines that can differ from ours. If you would like to go over more advanced overlocking you can book a 121 lesson, just get in touch with us email@example.com*
Sew Confident is a fun, social learning environment where peer support comes as standard! We have overlockers here for you to use, you can use ours or bring your own, just let us know.
