This is a course guiding you through the basic hand-building techniques: making pinch pots, slab building, and making coil pots, giving participants a starting point to make any desired object out of clay.
Throughout the first five weeks the class will make three projects, using the three different hand-building methods. Your tutor Anna will demonstrate techniques and give you examples of forms to make, and students will have time to focus on their own projects.
The pieces made during the class will be bisque fired before the final session, which will focus on glazing. Your finished glazed pieces will then be high-fired and will be available to collect after the course.
This class is a relaxed, creative environment and offers participants the opportunity to grow their ceramics skills, suitable for complete beginners as well as those with some experience.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
