Our popular and super fun life drawing and screen printing workshop with Drawing Life is back this year for two back-to-back sessions.
We will be hosting two events on the 9th of July, where we will help you turn your drawings from a taught life drawing class into excellent two-colour screen prints, which we will help you print onto fabrics of your choice (tote bags will be provided).
What will happen during the workshop?
You will be shown how the printing process works, looking to give you inspiration and foresight going into our Life Drawing Class. Working from the model, you will design as you draw, creating and developing ideas to be turned into print. Hugo from Drawing Life will be at hand to help you select approaches that will help you achieve your desired designs.
Once you have your drawings, we will look at making your favourite designs into screen prints. Arianna from Print Clan will be on hand to print your designs with you, whilst Hugo will work with planning and realising your goals.
Refreshments will be available throughout the class.
I have never done screen printing before, can I come?
Of course - the workshop is suitable for all skills levels. Everyone is welcome and no previous experience is necessary.
Equipment Provided:
Equipment and materials such as screens, squeegees, ink colours, paper and drawing materials are all included. We will provide fabric samples and a tote bag, however you are welcome to bring any additional fabric for printing along with you - natural fabrics such as a plain cotton or linen give the best results. Likewise if you have a garment which you would like to print your design onto, you are welcome to bring that along too!
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
