We'll run through the different stages of labour so you're both clear on what to expect, as well as which breath techniques and positions to use when...as well as which to avoid!
Lauren said “I just want to say how invaluable the birth workshop was, we definitely feel it’s what made our birth experience so positive. I used all the different breath techniques and positions you taught us and I’m so proud of myself for birthing my 8lb 1oz baby with just gas & air!”.
The workshop is very practical, so rather than overload you with lecture-style information on birth physiology, medical procedures and outcomes (which you can read about elsewhere in your own time), we instead focus on the practical skills that will support you most in achieving the positive gentle birth you desire for you and your baby, including how to manage the sensations of labour naturally.
But don't underestimate the role of your birth partner! Labour is intense and there may well be times you need your partner's support to stay on track! Birth partners really do have a vital role to play, and the workshop will equip them with their own toolkit of strategies to support you on the big day.
Jen said "I have no doubt my birth would not have turned out so well had it not been for the workshop - Martin was a fantastic birth partner and he really helped me remember all the breathing techniques."
Best of all, this workshop takes place live online (via zoom) in the comfort of your own home!
Research shows that staying at home for as long as possible in labour is the number one thing you can do to help ensure a straightforward normal birth, so practising the techniques in the place you'll be labouring is invaluable!
The 3 hour workshop is £75 per couple and includes a comprehensive birth pack.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
