Commitment to understanding and supporting transitions for our youngest children and their families remains a high priority.
Join us in the Early Years Scotland Professional Learning Academy, Glasgow, for our first in-person event since March 2020!
During this in person event, Dr Marion Burns, Education Scotland, will discuss transitions through the lens of Realising the Ambition. Sharing practice with colleagues in the sector is invaluable and this event will also feature colleagues from a local authority ELC setting and a partner provider of ELC. Each professional will share their experiences of transitions and there will be the opportunity to engage in quality conversations with colleagues throughout the event.
Realising the Ambition, 2020, reminds us "Quality transitions that are well-prepared and child-centred, managed by trained staff collaborating with one another, and guided by an appropriate curriculum, enhance the likelihood that the positive impacts of early learning and childcare will last through primary school and beyond." (OECD, 2017:19)
Due to restrictions, places will be limited and will be subject to change in line with up to date restrictions. Please be assured that COVID guidance will be adhered to and all relevant mitigations will be in place.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
