You will be introduced to the basic techniques of textile screen printing, using blank screens and paper stencils to create samples. You will work on a design and use our larger screens to produce at least one square metre of reusable wrapping paper.
I have never done screen printing before, can I come?
Of course - the workshop is suitable for all skills levels. Everyone is welcome and no previous experience is necessary.
Equipment Provided:
Equipment and materials such as screens, squeegees, a range of ink colours, newsprint paper, cutting mats and knives are all included. We will also provide fabric samples and approximately one metre of plain white sheeting per student. You are welcome to bring any additional fabric for printing along with you - natural fabrics such as a plain cotton or linen give the best results.
Your Tutor:
