This intensive 2 day course will give you a solid foundation in Low-Toxic Etching. It will introduce using Ferric Chloride to etch with, cover a range of safer alternative materials such as BIG Etching Ground and Icing Sugar aquatint.
We will begin on the first day with single layer Drypoint plates, progressing onto multi-layer and Chine Colle in the afternoon. We will condlude with acid etching on the second day, which will include both soft and hard ground techniques as well as aquatint, sugarlift and spitbite processes.
All materials are included in the price, as well as tea and coffee.
All levels of experience welcome. Ages 16+.
