Introduction to Shakespeare Workshops 1 and 2
Led by Rebecca Robin
Book in advance on Eventbrite £20 for both workshops Max 12 spaces: www.eventbrite.co.uk
The workshops will be an introduction to Shakespearean verse and scenes from Twelfth Night. We will warm up both body and voice, discuss working with metrical verse and ways into Elizabethan and Jacobean texts which can sometimes seem intimidating. We will be working in partners or threes on small scenes which we will revisit at the second workshop and get up on their feet and play with before we string them all together at the end of the second workshop to show each other and tell an abridged section of the story. No previous experience is necessary, just enthusiasm and a willingness to give it a go and have some fun.
Please wear clothing which is comfortable for movement.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
