“This method emerges from the substance of everyday things. So, excuse me if it seems at times like I am grasping at nothing. I am. Hold on with me.” - Lola Olufemi
Grounded in black feminist scholarship and political organising, Lola’s latest book, Experiments in Imagining Otherwise, oscillates between prose and poetry to deliver a series of playful provocations, that tempt and challenge us to think, act and relate anew.
Expect readings, conversation and reflections around the importance of collective autonomy, the role of the artist in building new worlds and inventing the future with now. Your voice is welcome too, and you will be invited, during a Q&A, to share your thoughts and questions.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
