Please come to our FAMILY FUN DAY - The LUNA Project (Registered charity SC050148) works to support and raise awareness of young people with chronic illnesses, disabilities, and long-term health conditions.
We believe a key way to do this is friendship. We want to empower young people with disabilities to talk to their friends and peers about their disability and the ways their friends could support them, and to equip young people with the tools to support their peers and friends with disabilities. We are in need of some funds to keep doing this work, and so would love to invite you to join us for a family fun day as part of LUNA week 2022!
The Family Fun Day will be a day to have conversations about disability, raise funds for LUNA, and for disabled and non disabled folk of all ages to have a whole lot of fun!:
When: 4th September 12-4pm (feel free to drop in any time during this window)
Where: Pollok Park (by the Burrell collection)
What's occurring?
In aid of the Luna Project: please come along, BYO picnic and there will be opportunities for:
CHARIOT RIDES with Inclusive Countryside Access
Sensory play with PAMIS
Nature trails, a selection of games, and a chance to get creative.
and lots more!
Inclusivity is key - we want this to be a fun day where disabled and non disabled folks are able to have a great time! There will be accessible bathrooms, areas to chill out, and people from LUNA on hand to give more info about the charity. If you have any questions relating to you or your families accessibility needs, then please get in touch with us at thelunaprojectuk@gmail.com. We have the open to add a donation when you book your tickets - we know times are tough just now so there is no pressure to donate anything. Everyone will be welcome!
All welcome - please register and share a little bit about yourself / your family and any access needs so that we can prepare!
PS: although it's family fun day, the more the merrier - come with friends or come by yourself, there will be lots of opportunity to make friends!
PPS: if you can't come, but want to support the LUNA Project - please give generously to our justgiving
