The New York Times – America’s Daily Record – ran a poll asking, ‘What’s the worst thing that could happen to you?’ Blindness won! Jamie’s not sure it’s that bad.
The star of Life On The Blink (Radio4) and Blind Ambition (BBC2) used to hate his eyes, then he reluctantly accepted them and nowadays he loves them (He had exactly the same journey with olives).
So, is he in denial or simply reasonably-adjusted? Plus if everyone hates blindness so much why has everyone started listening to audiobooks?
