A new year is the perfect time to try a new activity by participating in one (or all!) of our free New Chapter Creative Writing Workshops between January- March.

Each of our six creative writing workshops in community libraries across the city will focus on a different theme and be delivered by a different writer.

Our third workshop focuses on Writing Comedy and will be delivered by Viv Gee at Drumchapel Library.

Everyone has a story to tell, everyone has their own unique interests and opinions and everyone has the ability to write funny. Viv's comedy writing workshop will cover finding inspiration and ideas, using attitude and comedic structure.

Viv has been teaching stand-up comedy skills for the past 25 years with alumni include Des McLean, Susie McCabe, Jay Lafferty and Des Clarke.
In 2014 she was the recipient of the Award for Outstanding Contribution to Comedy at the inaugural Scottish Comedy Awards.
