Taking place on IWD, Wednesday 8 March from 11am - 12.30pm, the free event will launch Work @ VEGA Speaker Sessions - a new series of bi-monthly panel events with inspiring guests, as part of the venue’s exciting Work @ VEGA programming.
First up, VEGA’s IWD panel will see Capital Scotland presenter Katy Johnston host a lineup including: Aarti Joshi (music marketing specialist, DJ and podcast host), Chloe Milligan (Founder, MUD Urban Flowers), Evelyn McDonald (CEO of Scottish EDGE) and Tammy Koslowski (Founder, NAF!).
Presenter and journalist Katy Johnston will lead the panel in discussing their career and professional experiences in relation to this year’s IWD theme ‘Embrace Equity’ in VEGA’s top floor co-working area, offering an audience Q&A and a chance for guests to network.
Katy Johnston said: “I’m delighted to be a part of this fantastic event for International Women’s Day! It’s so crucial that these brilliant women are given a platform to showcase their talents and inspire future generations. I’m humbled to be up there chatting with them!”
Radio and podcast presenter Aarti Joshi, a regular at VEGA with her podcast ‘Out, Out!’, will discuss her expansive career in broadcasting, music marketing, and life coaching, whilst Chloe Milligan, Creative Director of Mud Urban Flowers, will share insight into running her growing floristry empire across six different locations in Scotland’s central belt.
Evelyn McDonald, CEO of Scottish EDGE, will bring her entrepreneurial flair and passion for supporting innovative talent to the table this IWD, also joined by Tammy Koslowski, owner and founder of one of the UK’s most successful nail salons, NAF! Salon, known for changing the game in Scotland’s beauty industry.
The IWD panel will kick off Work @ VEGA Speaker Sessions, a series of bi-monthly speaker events set to take place at the top floor bar and restaurant, as part of the venue’s Work @ VEGA programming.
Already offering an enticing co-working space with a difference for creatives, freelancers and those looking for a break from the office, VEGA’s co-working deal includes unlimited tea and coffee, super fast WiFi and a morning pastry for just £10, Monday - Friday. With floor to ceiling windows, motivational playlists and a friendly vibe, Work @ VEGA is a hub of creativity and opportunity, with an events programme to match.
Open from 8am, VEGA’s light and bright co-working areas have everything you need for a productive day, plus the venue will now offer monthly mixer events for those looking for the freedom of co-working, but with the community of an office!
Work @ VEGA’s In The Mix events will welcome a new generation of networking without any of the awkward handshakes or forced small talk. The free, monthly after work event promises fun and new connections, minus the cringe factor.
The perfect way to celebrate women in business in one of the city’s favourite destinations on International Women’s Day, Work @ VEGA’s IWD panel is an unmissable chance to hear from Scotland’s women of the moment and get inspired.
