Dignity Row are a Scottish group formed in 2020 by songwriter Jamie Campbell with an eclectic cocktail of pop, soul, and 80s vibes, and feel-good lyrics that reflect on the tapestry of genuine lives and the importance of sharing love and being the best possible version of ourselves.
Following the release of their latest single “Not a Love song” featuring Bobby Bluebell and Ken McCluskey on backing vocals, Dignity Row are delighted to be performing at The Old Hairdressers.
Dignity Row songs seamlessly cross genres to provide feel good chilled out and inspirational anthems, full of hooks that grab hold and stick in your head. Every song is different, blending a range of voices and instruments, while retaining the Dignity Row sound.
The night is complemented by fantastic Support spots from artists Jamie has recently been collaborating with.
Adam Donaldson is a Falkirk based singer-songwriter, continually stepping away from his comfort zone and pushing on with new musical ideas. The Old Hairdressers will be a first showing of full band versions of tracks from his recent EPs plus some new material.
Fergus McNeill has developed an identifiably Scottish, contemporary folk-inspired sound, seasoned by a wide range of pop, indie and Americana influences. His carefully crafted, evocative songs are often deeply reflective; even wistful. Their distinctive lyricism reflects his unusual combination of mid-life perspective and newcomer freshness as a songwriter.
Outi Smith is an inquisitive Finnish singer and pianist now based in Scotland. Born with two restless feet, a curious mind, and an open heart she has travelled between countries seeking new experiences. She is equally adventurous with her approach to music and happily hops between styles and genres. A lover of jazz, improvisation and harmony singing, Outi is currently honing her storytelling skills by working on her debut album.
Maya is a Glasgow based Nepali/British alt-folk singer-songwriter, harpist, and violinist who creates textures with dense harmonies, classical instrumentation and pithy lyrics. Ethereal and classical with inspirations ranging from Debussy to Radiohead.
