GGG is delighted to announce that our second Golf Day will take place on Thursday 12th September. We are returning to the Championship Course at Cawder Golf Club to raise funds for older adults in Glasgow who are affected by loneliness, isolation and poverty.
Just 10 minutes from Glasgow city centre, the peaceful, picturesque setting lets you forget about the busy city lifestyle and lose yourself in the beautiful game of golf. The natural beauty of the Campsie hills, surrounded by a wonderful woodland, and with the Antonine Wall and the Kelvin river meandering through the course has some of the best views any Scottish golf course has to offer. Designed by the 5 time British Open Champion and renowned golf architect James Braid, the Championship course is well known for its exceptional putting surfaces, stunning views of the Campsies, and its very own “Amen Corner”.
German Doner Kebab were the winners last year and we are looking for teams of 4 to take part and claim the title. Golfers will enjoy a breakfast roll on arrival before heading onto the course for a shotgun start. On their return to the club house they will be served a delicious two-course lunch while the prizes for the winning team, longest drive and nearest the pin are awarded.
Full details about the event and how to register are on our website. We look forward to welcoming you then.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
