Completed the beginners class and want to take your first steps into dressmaking?!
Pick from one of our 3 recommended patterns and let us talk you through the first steps of dressmaking. From taking your measurements and cutting out your fabric to understanding the terminology used in construction techniques - our tutor will take you through your first dressmaking project from start to finish.
On the first evening we will help you take your measurements to ensure that you cut out the correct size of your pattern. Our fantastic tutor will then explain all the differnt markings on your pattern pieces before you start cutting into your fabric. The second evening is all about construction and making sure you have the perfect fit as well as answering any questions you have along the way!
We recommend the following patterns: Ogden Cami by True Bias, Square Neck Top from The Friday Pattern Co., Scout Tee from Grainline Studio.
Sew Confident is a fun, social learning environment where peer support comes as standard! YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BRING YOUR OWN SEWING MACHINE as machines are provided.
Shortly after booking we will contact you to give you a copy of the materials list.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
