Spend two days in gorgeous dye studio of Elisabeth Viguie Culshaw textile artist to learn to create beautiful botanical prints on fabric using red dyes (Cochineal, Madder and Sapan wood).
We will spend day 1 learning about the technique, selecting and preparing fabric, choosing leaves and extracting dyes from scratch. We will make a few small samples. On day 2 we will prepare and print a large piece. We will work exclusively on silk and linen and it is an option for you to bring a small amount of fabric to print.
This will be done with only a small group of 4 people so loads of time for questions.
You will leave with some great pieces and a large piece printed ready to be used.
All work done will be permanent and colourfast.
No lunch included in the cost but all material, only bring yourself, an apron and some gloves.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
