Learn all sorts of acrobatics from a master of the art, Luke Quadrio!

Having recently finished a three-year stint with Cirque du Soleil in its dazzling Las Vegas spectacular, Mystere, Luke is joining Aerial Edge as a guest teacher for a short time.

In this course, you’ll be coached how to hold an array of handstands, two-person hand-to-hand acrobatic balancing, duo and group acrobalance, tumbling flips and tricks, trampoline and more.

Classes will be three hours long, one evening per week, for three months. The course takes place in Aerial Edge’s dedicated circus arts space in Ibrox, Glasgow.

Luke has been coaching gymnastics, trampoline and parkour for two decades and performing for 15 years. He moved into circus in his early 20s which led him to a three-year acrobatics programme at the Beijing International Art School. From there, he has travelled the world teaching and performing.

If you’re looking for a broader education in circus arts, Luke is also teaching Aerial Edge’s Foundation Course in Circus Arts, which starts on August 14th.

As well as acrobatics, the Foundation Course teaches you aerial arts including trapeze, flying trapeze, hoop, rope, silks and Luke’s speciality, Chinese pole (see https://vimeo.com/135233579)

Training at Aerial Edge isn’t just about learning aerial and acrobatic arts. As a not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC), our core principle is developing people through circus, regardless of age, size, shape or ability.

The inherently fun activities, challenges and achievements in circus training enhance your life and can move you on to greater things in any direction, with the mentored approach at Aerial Edge. You can develop qualities like resilience and confidence and may discover talents in other areas such as leadership or inspirational speaking.

This course is suitable for all adults, and Aerial Edge Youth Circus students aged from 13 who have been signed off by their teacher.
