If you’ve never felt the thrill of flying trapeze, now’s your chance at absolutely zero cost. And if you’ve imagined what it would be like to try aerial arts such as silks, rope and trapeze, you can do those classes too at our FREE birthday open day. Bring a friend! Bring a crowd and you can all have a go!
There’s absolutely no need for previous experience and you’ll be surprised how much you can do in a short time. You’ll definitely brighten up your social media feeds!
You can enjoy these free classes because we’re celebrating re-opening a year ago in our fabulous new venue. As long as you’re six years or over, you’re in! There’s no upper age limit, we have students in all aerial and acrobatic classes including flying trapeze who are in their 60s and 70s.
No need to worry about whether you can do any of this, we’ll coach you through the whole exciting experience. You’re in good hands, Aerial Edge was founded in 2007 so we’ve been gently coaxing people off the platform for a long time. First in the Briggait then Kelvin Hall, then after a long covid closure, we found our fabulous new venue opposite Ibrox stadium.
Our flying trapeze classes are the stuff of legends in your own lifetime. Whether you come alone or with a bunch of pals, you’ll hear cheers of delight – it always happens spontaneously when someone flies through the air with (or without!) the greatest of ease.
This is one of the great things about learning circus arts at Aerial Edge – it’s a supportive, encouraging and non-competitive environment. And there are huge benefits in other aspects of your life – most people improve their confidence, coordination and concentration.
Our aerial rig will have a variety of apparatus ready for you, such as trapeze, silks and rope, and the teachers will take you through some moves in each half-hour session.
People often book aerial and flying trapeze for parties because it’s so exhilarating and gives such a sense of satisfaction and achievement. There’s actually evidence from a scientific study that people’s stress levels REDUCED after trying flying trapeze!
It’s all happening on Saturday 22nd July from 1pm-4pm. You can book up to three half-hour sessions. We understand that something might come up and you can’t make it after all, please cancel your sessions with as much notice as you can give so that other people can enjoy them. We will also have one or two standby places.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
