Women in Chamber Music presents: CONCERT CORNUCOPIA, a showcase chamber music concert for oboe, viola, harp, and piano, featuring special guests: harpist, Romy Wymer from Willow Trio Harps, and violinist, Shona Scott.
The evening's 60 minute program includes arrangements of fairytale inspired favourite pieces by Tchaikovsky, Ravel, Stravinsky and Grieg, and also duo pieces by Boulanger, Le Beau, and original compositions. There is truly something for everyone to enjoy and pick from this cornucopia of gorgeous music!
This program features original arrangements by WICM that were crowd favourites in the ensemble’s last concert tour in Spring 2023, ‘Folklore & Fairy Tales’, like Peer Gynt, The Firebird, and Pavane for a Dead Princess and Swan lake. This concert will also feature interesting and beautifully composed smaller chamber music works, featuring women composers, and original compositions and more. It will be a celebration of music, unity, and warmth as we head into the cosy months of autumn.
The WICM full ensemble members include: Mianoora Kosonen (pianist), Olivia Vjekoslava Tomasovic (oboe), Sam MacAdam (harp), and Arianna Ranieri (viola).
