Fuzzy make full use of the multidisciplinary talent among its members. With four vocalists and a mixture of guitars, keys and synths Fuzzy’s chameleonesque arrangements generate an unusual variant on punctilious pop music.
The songs are unashamedly unorthodox with literary surrealism seeping through dreamy melodic arrangements. Alasdair Grey’s unique literary legacy has a profound influence on the group, incorporating a twisted sense of humour and bizarre imagery.
The tour titled track "Spectacular" explores themes of personal infortitude and the indulgence of bitter misery. At times, even the most sanguine personalities cannot resist the inescapable bleakness of the mortal experience. To deny the existence of such emotion is to deny the grim reality that all must occasionally acknowledge.
Ask Carol is an alternative indie-rock duo that has emerged from the remote Norwegian mountain community of Auma, ready to shake up the music scene. Don't let the small size of this band fool you - with two guitars, drums, synth, Carol's unique bass and guitar system, and a bit of multitasking, Ask Carol packs a punch with a sound as big as a full band. The music of this high-energy power-duo ranges from fierce and mean to soft and comforting, drawing inspiration from the likes of the Kills, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and the White Stripes, all with a distinct Nordic, melancholic twist.
