Once complete, practitioners will be qualified to lead simple sound baths and are also able to take level 2 qualifications to advance their skills.
This level 1 certificate provides:
A general introduction to the practice of sound healing
Foundational knowledge and techniques of working with core sound healing instruments (Tibetan singing bowls, crystal singing bowls, voice, gongs, tuning forks, chimes and drums)
An overview of the different sound healing practices (group sound baths, 1:1 sound healing, drumming and chanting circles)
Steps and guidance of running your own group sound bath
Course delivery:
4 hour in person workshop
Home study via course handbook and student workbook
Tutor support (via email and zoom)
To qualify with a level 1 certificate you are required to:
Attend the 4 hour workshop
Complete and return the student workbook
Plan and carry out 2 sound baths
Send a copy of the plan and evaluation of your sound baths for assessment
Complete requirements within 3 months of attending workshop
Workshop details:
Foundational playing techniques will be taught for each instrument with time for hands on practice (You are welcome to bring your own instruments though this is not a requirement)
Explanation of the different musical intervals and their effects during sound healing
1:1 sound healing demonstration
Group drumming and chanting demonstration
Group sound bath demonstration plus step by step instruction for creating your own sound bath
