The City Sinners features some of the top players on the Scottish country/americana scene, fronted by critically acclaimed singer songwriters John Hinshelwood and Louise Mcatee.
Guitarist Iain Barbour and pedal steel player Malcolm McMaster are both in demand as session players, and can count Jason Ringenberg, Jim Lauderdale and Martin Stephenson among their many collaborators. Bass player/singer David McKee is a member of The Wynntown Marshals, one of Scotland’s premier Americana outfits, and drummer Frank McHugh has recorded and toured extensively with various bands, most notably Big Sur whose debut single ‘Please Stay’ was a Radio One single of the week.
They have recently reformed to celebrate the 50th anniversary in 2024 of the release of ‘Grievous Angel’, the first official collaboration between Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris. The show will feature most of this album, in addition to other songs associated with both Harris and Parsons.
