Glasgow Streetsound, in partnership with Buskers of Glasgow (https://linktr.ee/BuskersofGlasgow), is a live music showcase at Glasgow city centre based venue Room 2 (just off Buchanan Street), aimed at giving recognition to Glasgow’s (and further afield) talented musicians and street performers.
Join us for an evening of amazing live music for #17 with The Sensitive Souls, Lola O'Dorel, Agha-Ozhor and Anny Leigh.
Please select the ticket option for the act you are primarily buying your ticket to support. £8+BF in advance. £10 entry on the door (cash or card).
THE SENSITIVE SOULS: "An indie rock band from Glasgow that consists of Jamie and Marc Strachan."
LOLA O'DOREL: "A Spanish singer-songwriter who now calls Scotland home. Influenced by artists like Amy Winehouse, Corinne Bailey Rae and Paul Weller, Lola’s genre-defying style blends indie, pop-rock, soul, and jazz. Born Lola Elvira Dorado in Madrid, she grew up surrounded by music and drew inspiration from artists like Antonio Vega and Bebe. After falling in love with Scottish music culture, Lola made the bold decision to pursue her musical career in Scotland, earning a BA Honours in Popular Music. With a band formed during her final year at university, Lola recorded her debut EP ‘Open Your Mind’ and toured across Scotland and Madrid. Now based in Glasgow, Lola is ready to make her mark on the wider music scene."
AGHA-OZHOR: "I'm a French/Angolan banjo and guitar player based in Glasgow. I see music as a way to understand each other better and expand minds. It helps people and makes sure stories aren't forgotten and this is mostly what I try to put in my music."
ANNY LEIGH: "Not any old singer songwriter, though the depth and honesty of her lyrics belies a maturity perhaps beyond her years. A born performer, her gigs combine the joy of feel-good pop anthems with the kind of rawness and intimacy more suited to folk. Her new EP, Green Dreams, is now available on Spotify. At the age of 16 she picked up playing the guitar and the piano and soon began writing songs. Anny is currently working on her debut album made possible through crowdfunding. Originally from Germany, the singer moved around a lot from a young age, spending four of her formative years in Sheffield, allowing her to grow up bilingual. Anny is based in Edinburgh studying drama. You can find her online where she (over-)shares her life on her Instagram stories."
14+. Under 18's must be accompanied by an adult. Original photo ID required (driving licence - full or provisional, passport, Young Scot card).
Room 2 is only a few minutes walk from Central and Queen Street Train Stations, Buchanan Bus Station and is near to the Subway on Buchanan Street.
