All abilities welcome.
19:00-21:00 pm in 4 week blocks.
If you have hand built with clay before, feel free to get right into it and work with the clay. If you are a complete beginner, We will demonstrate how to build a variety of ceramic structures. Helping you build confidence in learning how to work with ceramics.
In the first two sessions the focus will be on the most important hand-building techniques – coiling, pinching, slab-building and sculpting .
In the 3rd week you will then have the opportunity to apply all of your newly gained knowledge to a personal project
The 4th class will be a glazing class. The last class you will also be able to finish work and items you didn't get to glaze you can then book to return to paint or choose the work to be clear glazed.
What to bring
All clay and tools will be provided however ceramic hand building can be a messy business so we recommend wearing clothes you won't mind getting mucky. Don't worry though, clay is water soluble so will come out in the wash!
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
