Glasgow Life are delighted to be able to connect with the SLIC Climate Engagement Fund ‘Shelf Life’ programme, offering a series of practical and inspiring climate focused events for school, family and adult audiences in libraries across Glasgow in March.
Join Alastair McIntosh for a fascinating talk on Climate, Community and the Crisis of Meaning.
Climate change is the greatest global threat of our time, but behind it lies a crisis in meaning, a crisis in how we as human beings seek fulfilment in life.
This talk will explore the making of community and deepening our inner lives as an antidote to that crisis of meaning, with a focus on rural land reform and the GalGael Trust in Glasgow.
Alastair McIntosh is a human ecologist, broadcaster, and an honorary professor at the University of Glasgow. He is the author of books including Soil and Soul on land reform, Poacher’s Pilgrimage on spiritual depth, and Riders on the Storm which is his latest work on climate change.
These will be available for sale at the event.
