All are warmly welcomed for an evening of performances and conversation as we consider the big issues for African, Caribbean, Asian and Global Majority communities.
The line-up of special guests includes Glasgow-based poets and artists Titilayo Farukuoye and Sean Wai Keung, and Brighton-based Adriana Lord. The evening will be hosted by award-winning poet Akila Richards and DJ Fever2Ray from African Night Fever.
Akila will be reading from her new pamphlet Ritual for a Mango (Flipped Eye Publishing Limited). She will also perform from Lullabies for the Exhausted with Adriana Lord, a Brighton Dome Reveal commission funded by Brighton Dome BPOC heritage grant scheme and National Heritage Lottery Fund.
Akila Richards, Poet and Poetry Room Host, says: “Come and join us for a unique treat of poets ready to open your senses, your heart and mind with an eclectic mix of narratives and a participatory journey of lullabies. Come as you are and leave humming and nurtured.”
