About Glasgow Science Festival: How does Light Affect our Lives?
Natural light is a vital part of our day-to-day life, but we often take it for granted. We will invite you to think about how seasonal changes in light affect our moods in two short talks from SAD researchers and a hands-on, sky-framing activity demonstrating how we can see and notice light in new ways.
Professor Hayden Lorimer and Professor Hester Parr from the ESRC 'Living with SAD' research project will share findings from work done with people who live with Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), highlighting how it helps us understand the importance of noticing and living with light in ways that improve our mental health.
