About Space Invaders High Score Challenge
For one day only we will set up a dedicated retro station in our cafe. This station will be set up with the classic arcade version of Space Invaders. Gamers are welcome to try out our high score challenge to win a top prize!
How to enter: Tickets or arcade passes are not required to take part in our high score challenge. Our retro station will be set up from 12pm until 10pm and anyone aged 8+ can join in the challenge. There will be a £2 fee to officially attempt your high score. This can be paid at the cafe bar. Please note that we only accept card and digital payments, no cash. Your attempt includes 3 lives in the game, once the game is over, a member of staff will record your high score plus your name and contact details. The winner will be announced on our social media the next day. Please read our event t&c's before visiting:
For gamers aged 8+ only.
The retro game station will be running a fair usage policy throughout the day. You are welcome to practice before your official attempt but please note that a maximum of two practice turns will be allowed per person to keep gaming fair.
A high score will only be valid if recorded by an R-CADE staff member. Once you pay your entry fee a staff member will supervise your attempt.
We will need to take a note of your name and contact details to get in touch if you have won. R-CADE will not use your personal details for any other reason than to contact you.
R-CADE staff may take photos of the event for social media use throughout the day. If you prefer not to be photographed please let a staff member know.
Our venue is family friendly from 12-7pm, and strictly over 18's from 7-10pm
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
