5 piece alt country band led by legendary Rezillos’ frontwoman Fay Fife.
Urban grit combined with a touch of punk and soulful melodies, taking the alt country genre to warped frontiers of previously unheard terrain. Fay’s authentic, original lyrics, mellifluous vocals and out-there stage presence combine in an unholy alchemy of alt country, punk and a touch of gospel.
Their long since sold out debut album Star Of The Sea (greeted with glowing reviews and a top 10 chart position) is reissued this summer on iconic LNFG label.
The Countess of Fife is a 5 piece band featuring some of Scotland’s finest musicians - Kirsten Adamson (daughter of the late Stuart Adamson (Big Country, Skids)), Brian McFie (who played with Marianne Faithfull) on lead guitar, Al Gare (Imelda May, Jeff Beck) on double bass, Willy Molleson (Eliza Carthy Band) on drums, with Fay upfront on vocals and keys.
