Following it's huge debt in 2024, Amazing Silent Discos brings their surreal dance party back to The Old Fruitmarket for an Eighties Silent Disco on Saturday 29th March!

Steeped in history, step back in time as you dance, sing and snap selfies with your besties overlooked by stunning cast-iron balconies, lofty vaulted ceilings, and original signage from market traders of days gone by.
Get ready to dance, sing, and snap selfies with your besties as this unique space transforms into a massive, high-energy dancefloor. With nightclub-quality lights, dazzling visual effects, and a fully stocked bar, it’s the perfect setting for a retro night to remember.
You’ll have three incredible DJs simultaneously spinning non-stop 80s hits across three distinct channels. Pop, indie/alt, power ballads — you choose the vibe, and the hits keep coming. Already a global sensation, this is an 80s silent disco experience you do not want to miss!
WHAT TO EXPECT
> On arrival you will be supplied with a set of wireless, light up headphones. We've streamlined the distribution so everyone can get on the dancefloor quicker.
> Each pair of headphones has a switch allowing you to toggle back and forth between our three live DJs.
> Hit the dancefloor and experience the magic as everyone grooves and sings along, and take off your headphones for a snippet of the wildest jumble of mass karaoke you've ever heard.
MUSIC
The three DJs will be performing side by side from a stage within the main exhibition space, and each will be playing a carefully curated setlist dedicated to a specific genre of eighties classics.
DJ 1: 80’s Top Of The Pops
Get ready for pure pop perfection! Big beats, bright vibes and feel-good energy from 80s icons like Madonna, George Michael, Cyndi Lauper, and Kylie Minogue. For the girls (and boys) that just wanna have fun!
DJ 2: 80’s Alt/Indie Legends
For the rebels, the dreamers, and the ones who walk their own path. This channel is packed with indie anthems and alternative beats from The Smiths, The Cure, Joy Division, and more. Moody, melodic, and oh-so-iconic, it’s a trip through the era’s underground soundscapes.
DJ 3: 80’s Power Ballad Sing-A-Long
Grab a hairbrush (or an air guitar) and prepare for full-body feels. This channel cranks up the emotional anthems from Bon Jovi, Journey, Queen, and all the icons who knew how to make a moment massive. Big voices, big hair, and even bigger choruses — it’s your chance to sing like nobody’s watching!
