Jane will begin by guiding you through the essentials, explaining the various materials you'll be working with, including different types of paper and a range of pastels. Through engaging demonstrations, she will showcase an array of techniques, from blending and layering to creating texture and depth.
With a focus on both colour and texture, you’ll have the chance to experiment and create your own unique pieces under Jane's expert guidance. Whether you’re drawing inspiration from the techniques of the great Degas or carving out your own artistic path, this workshop promises to broaden your creative horizons.
And there’s no need to worry about mess—working with soft pastels is easier and cleaner than you might think! By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a newfound appreciation for this medium and the skills to continue exploring it on your own. Join us for a day of creativity, learning, and enjoyment, and discover why soft pastels might just become your new favourite artistic tool.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
