This 4-week masterclass is designed to deepen your understanding and practice of Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskar). Whether you're new to yoga or looking to refine your technique, this course will guide you through the fundamental postures, breathing techniques, and transitions involved in Sun Salutations, offering modifications and advanced variations to suit all skill levels.
Week 1: Foundations of Sun Salutations
• Introduction to the basic poses (Mountain, Forward Fold, Plank, Cobra, Downward Dog)
• Focus on alignment, posture, and breath awareness
• Gentle modifications for beginners
Week 2: Building Strength and Flexibility
• Progress through faster-paced sequences
• Incorporating core engagement and deepening stretches
• Focus on proper form in Chaturanga and Upward Dog
Week 3: Advanced Variations and Flow
• Explore advanced transitions and poses like Warrior and Crescent Lunge
• Integration of flow and fluidity into your practice
• Focus on breathing techniques to enhance endurance
Week 4: Mastering the Complete Sequence
• Refining the entire Sun Salutation sequence
• Focus on breath-to-movement synchronization
• A final flow combining all the skills learned for a stronger, more fluid practice
By the end of this masterclass, you'll have a stronger, more confident Sun Salutation practice, with improved flexibility, strength, and mindfulness. Suitable for yogis of all levels, this course will leave you feeling energized and empowered.
