Soil materials have been used as forensic trace evidence since the time of the Romans, and are often highly distinctive from one region to another. This makes them extremely valuable forms of intelligence and evidence, aiding crime investigations and reconstructions.
Covering examples from real case work and from fiction, forensic soil scientist and international expert witness Lorna examines evidence from the earth and its role in bringing about natural justice.
