Navigating the industry can be overwhelming. Preparing for auditions, analysing text and scripts and attempting to network with industry professionals, it can all feel quite daunting.
This 10-week course is designed for Adults 18+ who want to develop their auditioning skills for professional settings.
While studying on the course you will explore how to widen and develop your skill set within the environment of an audition room. Techniques such as ‘SAP’- script audition preparation, reworking text and writing a monologue will be explored. The course will also offer practical techniques for professional auditions, industry research and networking.
By the end of this course students will have:
Gained confidence in networking skills
developed an understanding of how to rework text for audition
written an original monologue tailored to their strengths
taken part in a mock audition
This open access course maybe suitable to graduates who need a refresher, actors working professionally in the industry and those who are applying to drama school for the first time. This course aims to support participants wherever they are in their career and help them developed their skill set and confidence over the 10 weeks.
